Terms and Conditions |
These Terms and Conditions set out the terms of entry in the Activate Graduate Prezzee Voucher (“Competition”).
1. The promoter of the Competition is The Institution of Engineers Australia trading as Engineers Australia (“Engineers Australia”) (ABN 63 020 415 510), Engineering House, 11 National Circuit, Barton, ACT, Australia, Telephone No: (08) 8914 1703.
2. The Competition is one in which current student members of Engineers Australia who have graduated from their engineering course and who upgrade to a graduate membership of Engineers Australia will be automatically entered into the draw to win one of five $200 eGift Cards to PREZZEE.
3. Entry to the Competition is free and open to Engineers Australia student members who have completed their engineering degree, who are Australian residents and who meet the other criteria for entry to the Competition.
4. An entrant must be an individual. Organisations (including bodies corporate) are ineligible to enter.
5. Individual entrants under 18 years of age must have the consent of their parent or guardian to enter the Competition.
6. Employees of Engineers Australia, their immediate family members, employees of any company associated with Engineers Australia, any person associated with the Competition, and any individual associated with the provision of the prize(s), are not eligible to enter.
7. Entrants’ will be entered into the draw and can only win a maximum of (1) one prize.
8. Entry’s will be governed in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
9. Entrants’ agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
10. Engineers Australia may in its discretion refuse to award a prize to any entrant who fails to comply with these Terms and Conditions. All relevant instructions (if any), are on the Engineers Australia website (www.engineersaustralia.org.au) and form part of these Terms and Conditions.
11. If an entrants’ contact details change during the Competition Period, it is the entrant's responsibility to notify Engineers Australia. A request to modify any entry information should be directed to Engineers Australia. Engineers Australia does not guarantee that it will approve all requests to modify.
12. The Competition opens at 7:00am AEST on 2 May 2024 and closes at 11:59pm AEDT on 31 May 2024 (“Competition Period”). Any entry received after the expiry of the Competition Period will be deemed invalid. No responsibility is accepted for late, lost, delayed or misdirected entries.
13. To enter the Competition, you must:
(a) be a current student member of Engineers Australia;
(b) be eligible to upgrade to a graduate membership of Engineers Australia; and (c) upgrade your membership during the Competition Period at https://portal.engineersaustralia.org.au/user/login?destination=home
14. The total prize pool value for the Competition is $1000. There are five (5) prizes to be won. The prizes are:

15. Each prize must be taken as is and no compensation will be payable if a winner is unable to use the prize as stated. Prizes, or any unused portion of a prize, are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash. It is a condition of accepting a prize that the winner accept the conditions of use of that prize.
16. If a prize (or part of the prize) is unavailable, Engineers Australia, in its discretion, reserves the right to substitute the prize (or that part of the prize) with a prize to the equal value and/or specification, subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority.
17. Winners will be drawn at random using a dedicated software application. The draw will take place at 11am on 7 June 2024 at Engineering House, 11 National Circuit, Barton ACT 2600. Results of the random prize draw are final and will be binding on each person who enters the Competition and no correspondence will be entered into.
18. Prize winners will be notified by 11.59pm AEST on 14 June 2024 by email. Engineers Australia takes no responsibility where it is unable to contact prize winners who have not provided correct or complete contact details.
19. Prizes will be emailed to prize winners at the email address provided to Engineers Australia in this Competition within 28 days after the prize draw. Engineers Australia will not be liable for any delay, damage, or loss in transit of prizes.
20. Prize winners’ names will be published on https://yea.engineersaustralia.org.au/ on the date specified in the table at clause 18 above and will remain on that website for a period of 28 days from the date of publication.
21. By being entered into the Competition, entrants’ consent to Engineers Australia using their personal details they provide in connection with the Competition for purposes of their membership of Engineers Australia and facilitating the conduct of the Competition and the award of any prizes. Entrants’ personal information provided in connection with the Competition will be handled in accordance with the Engineers Australia Privacy Policy available on the Engineers Australia website www.engineersaustralia.org.au.
22. If there is any event that prevents or hinders Engineers Australia’s conduct of the Competition or Engineers Australia’s ability to deliver the prize to the winner(s), including but not limited to vandalism, natural disasters, acts of God, any event that is considered an epidemic, pandemic, quarantine or any other event that is a public health risk as defined by the International Health Regulations published by the World Health Organization, civil unrest, strike, war, act of terrorism and any act or declaration of the government made in respect of the above, or if the winner has not claimed the prize within three [3] months of the prize being drawn, Engineers Australia may, in its discretion, cancel the Competition and recommence it at another time under the same conditions, or randomly select another winner.
23. Should Engineers Australia decide to randomly select another winner in accordance with clause 22, Engineers Australia will redraw the prize within 48 hours of the original draw date at Engineering House, 11 National Circuit, BARTON ACT 2611. The redrawn prize winner will be notified within 24 hours of the redraw taking place by email, and the prize will be delivered to the redrawn prize winner in accordance with clause 19.
24. If a prize is no longer capable of being redeemed, the redrawn prize winner will receive a prize, as determined by Engineers Australia, of equivalent value (as if the original prize had been awarded to that person, less any administrative expenses incurred by Engineers Australia).
25. Engineers Australia is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, or for any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilised in this Competition, or for any technical error that may occur in the course of the administration of this Competition.
26. Engineers Australia assumes no responsibility for any late, lost, delayed, incomplete, incorrectly submitted, corrupted, illegible or misdirected entries, claims or correspondence whether due to omission, error, alteration, tampering, deletion, defect, theft, destruction, delay in operation or transmission disruption to any communication network or medium, or unauthorised access to or alteration of entries, or otherwise including those entries not received by Engineers Australia for any reason. Engineers Australia is not liable for any consequences of user error including (without limitation) costs incurred.
27. To the greatest extent permitted by law, Engineers Australia excludes all warranties, representations or guarantees (Warranties) regarding this Competition and any prizes, including any Warranties which may have been made in the course of advertising or promoting this Competition. The conduct of this Competition or the supply of prizes may involve third parties, and Engineers Australia makes no Warranties and disclaims all liability in connection with any such third parties, their acts or omissions.
28. By being entered in this Competition, entrants’ release and indemnify Engineers Australia and its related bodies corporate (including the officers, employees and agents of each) from and against all actions, penalties, liabilities, claims or demands the entrant may have against Engineers Australia or that Engineers Australia may incur for any loss or damage which is or may be suffered or sustained as a direct or indirect result of an entrant being entered or participating in this Competition or winning or failing to win a prize, or using or permitting any other person to use the prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law or which would cause any part of this clause to be void or unenforceable.
29. To the full extent permitted by law, by being entered into this Competition, entrants’ agree that Engineers Australia will not be liable for any injury, damages, expenses, or loss whatsoever (whether direct or indirect) to persons or property as a result of any person entering into the Competition or accepting or using any prize, including without limitation non-receipt of any prize or damage to any prize in transit. This release extends to any injury, damage, expenses, or loss whatsoever (whether direct or indirect) to persons or property arising from the Competition being run on any form of social media including, but not limited to Facebook.
30. Without limiting any of the foregoing, in no circumstances will an entrant or Engineers Australia have any liability to the other for any loss or damage suffered which is indirect or consequential in nature, including without limitation any loss of profit, loss of reputation, loss of goodwill, or loss of business opportunity.
31. This Competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, any social media network.
32. The Competition and these Terms and Conditioners will be governed by the laws of the State of Victoria. Entrants accept the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts and tribunals of the State of Victoria in connection with disputes arising out of, or in relation to, the Competition. |
